A challenge was offered.
A faint voice in my head daring me:
“With little time and fewer resources, can you transform scattered ideas into living, breathing projects…maybe even brands?”
The little voice piqued my interest and appetite for a challenge as well as the promise of new experiences.
The Caribbean, for all our brilliance, talent, and capability, can sometimes be a little too careful. Too safe.
We often dip our toes in the waters of innovation, cautiously contemplating, seeking permission/validation to go further. So I set out on a mission(part curiosity, part obsession) to see what could happen if I leaned into boldness, insanity, and the sheer thrill of creation.
At the very least, I’m hoping my mission will inspire others to “go for it”, be a bit more bold, embrace the insanity and be a lot more “crazy” :).
Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been piecing together hours here and there: some late nights, stolen mornings, whenever I could—to breathe life into ideas that have been haunting me for some time. Through research, testing, and building with the assistance of the magic AI tools have to offer, those ghosts of ideas began to take shape.
Taking shape…under the banner of the Innovation Factory(IF).
I’d decided on the Innovation Factory(IF) as an umbrella entity to facilitate the “shaping of these ideas” as well as their eventual incubation.
I was building a machine for shaping ideas into projects/products. What I had called the Innovation Factory was, inn-fact, a venture studio. A laboratory for boldness. A home for restless curiosities…the “What Ifs”.
I’ll be posting more about the journey(whether stumbling/stepping/shooting over milestones) on my social media channels as well as, of course, on the Innovation Factory’s website.
